Bartlett man charged with possession of pills

Bartlett police Tuesday arrested a 22-year-old village resident who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Christopher L. Crane of Bartlett was taken to the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton to await his bail bond hearing.

About 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a single-family house on Trillium Lane to check on Crane's well-being after receiving a call that he posed a threat to others, police said.

Responding officers alleged Crane ran away shortly after they arrived and that he tossed a plastic bag containing 182 pills of a substance containing Alprazolam that was not prescribed to him before he was caught.
