2019 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony with The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik

On Friday, November 29, Elk Grove Village's annual Holiday Tree Lighting will kick off the holiday season on the Village Green-this annual event has been kicking-off Elk Grove Village's holiday season since 1998! The 2019 ceremony will feature a holiday performance by The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik.

Following the performance, The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik will join Mayor Johnson in throwing the switch to light up the holiday tree and turn on over 250,000 lights around the Municipal Complex, Elk Grove Public Library, Elk Grove Park District Pavilion, and on the Village's Holiday Tree.

A special fireworks display will follow the tree lighting, announcing the entrance of Santa and his elves. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided.

The Village thanks the Skroko Family for donating their Colorado Blue Spruce Tree to serve as this year's Holiday Tree, as well as the Lions and Leo Clubs and Elk Grove Village CERT members for volunteering their time and services to support the event.

The Holiday Concert featuring The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend! The Village Green is located behind the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Complex (901 Wellington Avenue) at the intersection of Biesterfield Road and Wellington Avenue.
