Firefighter suffers minor injury in St. Charles

One firefighter was slightly injured while battling a blaze Friday morning in a St. Charles garage.

The residents of a home on the 800 block of State Street called 911 about 7:30 a.m. Firefighters found light smoke coming from the garage area and flames coming from a trailer inside the garage.

Firefighters removed the trailer from the garage and cleared the scene just after 10 a.m.

The fire is under investigation. The loss is estimated at $5,000.
