Reflejos wins top bilingual publication for second straight year
Reflejos, the bilingual weekly newspaper owned by Daily Herald Media Group, has won gold for the second straight year for Outstanding Bilingual Publication.
Reflejos won seven awards overall.
The publication is celebrating 29 years of service to the suburban Chicago Latino communities.
The awards were handed out at the 32nd annual convention for the National Association of Hispanic Publications in California.
The convention brings together more than 180 publications from all over the United States and Puerto Rico.
"This outstanding recognition from NAHP and all its members demonstrates the importance of maintaining bilingual content for
readers," said Linda Siete, manager of sales and operations.
"With over 85% of the Latino population today flowing between two languages, Reflejos continues its mission of bringing news content in a format that all members of a family can share."
In addition to the gold aware, Reflejos took three silver and three bronze awards.
Reflejos has been a member of the Daily Herald Media Group and Paddock Publications for 19 years.
