Oil wins
Several weeks ago, President Trump abruptly announced the removal of U.S. troop from eastern Syria, which had acted as a buffer between the Kurds and Turkey. In effect, we abandoned an ally who had fought with us to defeat ISIS, and their future is bleak at best.
Then later, Trump ordered tanks and redeployed troops to guard the oil fields in eastern Syria.
Oil or people? Oil wins. USA loses.
