Dilemma ahead for the voters

It is long past time for President Trump to act presidential. He is not a spoiled kid, he's the president. I for one get upset with some of his actions which do not designate the dignity which the office deserves.

This is the most divisive president in recent time. His actions divide the country of loyal fans and determined opponents, each group having valid points but who refuse to come together. Some actions by President Trump which bother me would include the following:

His tweeting whims take too much time away from important business He talks and acts out of frustration without thought of consequences.

His opinions often override solid advice from well qualified advisers and the facts.

His huge ego and demands for loyalty regardless, those who disagree with him disappear. The ridiculous accusations and his ridicule of opposition, foreign and domestic.

Does not try to control temper or to practice restraint (which is politics?).

He risks loyalty and friendship of foreign dignities and allies.

Politics is the art of compromise, whether absurd or otherwise and requires arbitration no matter how difficult. Both parties are at fault here. Columnist Gerson describes this as moral and political chaos.

The Democratic debate was disappointing as well. The free college tuition, looser borders for truly destitute but illegal immigrants, free housing, free medical help for all, generous welfare for all sounds good to voters. Little was said of the huge and ballooning federal deficit, of the unsustainable pension costs, of the projected trillion dollar deficit for the coming year.

It is unimaginable that this government will ever go bankrupt like Puerto Rico, Detroit, etc. but keep in mind the Soviet Union collapsed largely because they ran out of money.

The election next year will present a real dilemma for the voters.
