Pete's Dueling Piano Bar opens Nov. 15 in Rosemont

Performers will be tickling the ivories for the first time Nov. 15 at Rosemont's newest entertainment venue.

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar announced this week the opening date for its location in Parkway Bank Park, the village's entertainment district. Construction on the 6,000-square-foot building has been taking place for months on what is the district's last remaining developable space.

Pete's will feature nightly entertainment from four performers rotating in and out on two baby grand pianos set up on stage, performing hits from every era. Waitresses and bar staff also get involved in dancing and singing with the audience.

The piano bar will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., with shows starting at 8 p.m. It's a 21-and-over venue, though attendees 18-20 may enter with a parent and a valid photo ID.

The location will mark Pete's first in the Midwest. Starting as a one-man show on Sixth Street in Austin, Texas, in 1992, Pete's opened in the Dallas suburb of Addison in 2001, in Fort Worth in 2004 and Houston in 2009.

Pete's, led by owners Corey Urbach and Greg Sacony, partnering with Chicago bar owner Kevin Killerman, inked a 15-year lease deal with the village for the entertainment district space.
