My conclusion from reading the transcript

I wanted to let Mr. Lauzen know that I read the transcript of Mr. Trump's summarized phone call with the Ukrainian president as well as the redacted whistle blower's report on the day they were released. In fact, I read them several times to ensure I understood the documents. The only conclusion I could reach was that Mr. Trump is unfit to be president of the United States.

I also came to understand how Mr. Lauzen and Mr. Trump are similar in temperament. Mr. Lauzen bullies elected countywide officials. He picks petty fights - see his attempt to be reimbursed for a book he could have purchased himself that had nothing to do with Kane County or governance in general. He attempts to force board committees to bend to his will, and he fails to represent the values and needs of all the people of Kane County. Not least, he is very quick to blame others for his failures. There are many other parallels, but they are too numerous to list here. My conclusion is that Mr. Lauzen is unfit to be Kane County Board Chairman or hold any elected office.

But I am an optimist and there is a silver lining here. In fact, there are two: I always find Mr. Lauzen's letters to the editor amusing, and I never see a letter commending his amusing letters.
