Household hazardous waste collection Saturday in Mundelein
A household chemical waste event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Metra station, 205 N. Archer Ave., in Mundelein.
Appointments are not needed. The event is for Illinois residents only. Accepted items include: aerosol products, antifreeze and motor oil, fertilizers/herbicides/pesticides, furniture stripper, varnish and more. Latex paint, farm or lab chemical and household electronics are among the items not accepted.
