MacArthur International Spanish Academy teachers make the grade

Local teachers serve students and families on McTeacher's Night to raise money for the school's PBIS Program. HOFFMAN ESTATES | MacArthurInternational Spanish Academy students gave teachers an A-plus on theirfundraising efforts to support local education and school activities. Teachers from SchaumburgCommunity Consolidated School District, 54, volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday,October 23rd, at the Hoffman Estates McDonald's located on Roselle Rd.,where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for the MacArthurInternational Spanish Academy. Teachers Ms. AlyssaRuffolo and Ms. Carolina Arroyave tended the apple pie box during the night. Ms. Alex Partipilio, teacherand school organizer did an outstanding job selling pies to customers throughoutthe night. The proceeds from the sale of 336 pies went directly to benefit ofthe school. Twenty percent of the proceedsfrom the McTeacher's Night sales were also donated directly to the school forPBIS School incentive programs which promote positive behavior. McDonald's Owner -Operator,David Bear donated a case of apple pies to the school for sale at the event. Inspired by the success of McTeacher's Night,the Bear family has set their sights on partnering with other schools in the HoffmanEstates area.
