Spiritual Revival Coming to Schaumburg Church
Church members and guests at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Schaumburg will have a chance to worship in a musical and surprising way during a spiritual revival in November.
Pastor Rebecca Ulrich with be the guest preacher at a spiritual revival taking place on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
The service will include lively and spirited music from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Spiritual Renewal Team, supported by musicians from Prince of Peace.
"A revival focuses on worshippers being open to worshipping in a different way than perhaps they have before," said Pastor Peter Hellstedt, pastor at Prince of Peace. "The preaching and music will be more 'spirited' than in a traditional Lutheran service."
The Spiritual Renewal Team has a nation-wide ministry that includes revivals, healing services, prayer services and workshops on a variety of topics. Previously, the team was blessed to offer a revival service with the Bishops of the ELCA, where the emphasis was on praying for an end to violence in communities across the U.S.
The public is warmly invited to attend the revival; no tickets are required.
