Run, dance and roll at Batavia's annual BatFest Oct. 26
BatFest is Batavia's annual Halloween-themed family event, attracting more than 3,000 ghouls. BatFest includes downtown Trick-or-Treating, the Batavia Mothers' Club Parade, a pumpkin roll, and games for free family fun.
BatFest will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, around downtown Batavia and at the Riverwalk and Peg Bond Pavilion, 151 N. Island Ave.
Here are some of the activities that will be going on at this year's BatFest:
• Batavia United Way's BatFest run, starting at 8:30 a.m.
• Downtown trick-or-treating at more than 75 downtown businesses from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• The final farmers market of the season
• Pumpkins, including the Pumpkin Roll down Houston Street, which is $1 per roll.
• Stories and songs at the library at 11:30 a.m.
• Dance "Monster Mash" at 10:30 a.m. and "Thriller" at 12:45 p.m.
• Costume contest on the Main Stage at 12:15 p.m.
• Pet costume contest at 1 p.m.
