Boys golf: Barrington takes 10th at state

Barrington's boys golf team finished in 10th place Saturday at the Class 3A state tournament at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington, while Buffalo Grove's Dori Lee tied for 12th place individually.

Barrington shot a 333 on Saturday. The Broncos were led by senior Sean Markham (80), junior Ian Bouchard (81), senior Dominic Scaletta (82) and junior Matthew Lee (88).

Other individuals competing from the Northwest suburbs included Nikko Ganas of Conant (76/153, tied for 25th) Henry Quinn of Hersey (82/156) and Ryan Higgins of Fremd (86/156).

Lake Forest won the team championship while Glenbrook North was second and New Trier third.
