Mundelein board revokes business grant

The Mundelein village board has revoked a $5,000 grant from its Business Incentive Grant program to a local business because the ownership has changed. The grant was issued in January to Famous Cigarettes, 815 S. Lake St. The owner had intended to put up a new sign, but he's since sold the operation. The new owner can apply for a grant if desired. The Business Incentive Grant program is designed to encourage entrepreneurs to improve the appearance of their businesses.
