Mundelein store punished for underage tobacco sales

A Mundelein store where minors bought cigarettes and other items has lost its license to sell those products.

Mundelein trustees on Monday revoked the local tobacco license for Mundelein Tobacco, 1515 S. Lake St. The punishment followed several violations, police and other officials said.

One trustee said the business was known among area teens for illegally selling tobacco and vaping products to minors.
