Girls golf: St. Viator advances to Class 1A state finals

St. Viator's girls golf team shot a 351 at the Class 1A Oregon sectional at Silver Ridge Monday to advance to this weekend's state final tournament in Decatur.

The Lions finished second to Chicago Latin, which shot a 346.

Leading St. Viator was junior Cate Reisener, whose 76 was the second-best individual round of the day.

Also scoring for the Lions were junior Paige Klostermann (90), junior Jill Doherty (90) and sophomore Claire Van Bergwn (95). Sophomore Sarah Hunt added a 103.

The state final tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at Red Tail Golf Course.
