Long Grove seeking to fill vacant village board trustee seat

Long Grove residents are being sought to fill a vacant village board seat due to the recent resignation of Trustee Michael Sarlitto, who was re-elected to the four-year term in April. The final two years of the term will be up in the April 2021 election. Per state statute, the vacancy must be filled by Nov. 9 with Village President Bill Jacob making the appointment. Candidates must be registered to vote. Those interested in serving should provide a letter of interest and a resume, along with a completed volunteer application that can be downloaded from the Long Grove website at longgroveil.gov/volunteer/. The forms can also be picked up at Long Grove village hall, 3110 Old McHenry Road. The materials can be emailed to Jacob for consideration at bill.jacob@longgroveil.gov, or mailed or dropped off at village hall.
