Grayslake woman struck by CTA bus on I-290

A Grayslake woman suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a CTA bus Tuesday afternoon on the Eisenhower Expressway.

The woman was hit by an eastbound bus in the far left lane of I-290 at Central Avenue just after 4:20 p.m., according to a news release from the Illinois State Police.

The woman is in stable condition, state police said.

All lanes of the expressway were reopened by 5:55 p.m., and the crash remains under investigation.
