Politicians and conflicts of interest

It has become so obvious that far too many politicians in both federal and state levels should not be allowed to enable family members to in any way be involved in anything which could possibly be a conflict of interest.

That goes for jobs, lobbying and anything else in which the politician's influence could carry any weight in the relative getting the job.

Of course, since the politicians make the rules, how can we stop all the corruption we see and hear of on a daily basis. As I have said in the past, term limits would definitely be a deterrent, as it seems that people who were quite reputable when elected somehow lose the ethics they had when first seeking office.

I recently heard that one third of the American public is stressed by politics. Is it no wonder with all the nonsense going on today? Both parties are to blame. Why aren't more good, decent people running for office? Or has the moral and ethical fiber of our country become a thing of the past?
