Add to efforts being made by businesses

Thank you for your editorial about a role for business in responding to climate change. I'm heartened that Ford, Volkswagen, BMW and Honda are moving ahead with a deal with California to reduce pollution by their new cars even as the current administration seeks to rolls back the emission standards. We need government, businesses and individuals working together to roll back climate change which is devastating all of us.

We can further support these efforts by businesses by encouraging Congress to adopt the Carbon Fee and Dividend Act, which will help level the playing field with a carbon fee that impacts all businesses while also returning dividends to all citizens as we share the costs of ensuring the future.

The bill now has 60 co-sponsors. It's time for representatives Underwood, Casten and Krishnamoorthi to join in sponsoring this bill. Please urge them to do so.

If we act now we can reverse these climate changes which are making like more difficult for us, our children and our grandchildren. Let's work together and get this done.
