Escapeocity hold contest to name new room
PALATINE - Escapeocity is closing down its School Spirits escape room to build a new experience, and is seeking help in naming the new room.
The new experience will be themed around a pizza restaurant in the 1980s that reveals itself to be a front for a secret government alien conspiracy. Anyone can submit a name suggestion for the new room by coming to the business in person at 254 N. Northwest Highway in Palatine or on its website, www.escapeocity.com, before Oct. 13.
The person with the winning name will win eight free tickets to the new room when it opens.
The new room will be Escapeocity's fifth escape room launch since it opened in 2016, and will be its most ambitious and exciting offering to date. Escapeocity is owned and operated by Arlington Heights residents Mark and Heather Carlson, and all of their escape room experiences are designed and built in-house. Escapeocity offers a new escape room every 6-8 months, rep "We love our local community of fans and love hearing their suggestions and feedback on our escape rooms," said Manager John Scovic, who also contributes to the design of new rooms. "We thought this contest would be a fun way for our fans to contribute creatively to the new experience and we're very excited to see what they come up with!"
