St. Francis could have kicked a field goal with three seconds to play and trailing powerful Bishop McNamara by 3 points. Instead the Spartans went for the win and got it, 46-43 in Kankakee.

A perfect record

Benet, Glenbard West, Hinsdale Central and IC Catholic all remained undefeated on the season. All four became playoff-eligible with their fifth victory.

Too many bolts

A few DuPage County teams got started Friday night, but those who tried all had to finish Saturday due to the storms that swept through the area.
