Rolling Meadows McDonald's closed after small fire
The McDonald's restaurant on Kirchoff Road in downtown Rolling Meadows was temporarily closed Thursday for cleanup after a small grease fire.
The fire spread to ductwork and required a dry chemical agent, assisted by the restaurant's own suppression system, to put it out, said Battalion Chief Colin Finlay of the Rolling Meadows Fire Department. Because of the post-fire cleanup needed in the store, it would be closed until inspection by the health department, Finlay said.
Rolling Meadows firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 9:39 a.m. No injuries were reported.
