Grant improves to 3-0; Wauconda, Carmel get first wins

Grant 48, Round Lake 14: The host Bulldogs improved to 3-0 by winning the Northern Lake County Conference opener.

Round Lake fell to 1-2.

Wauconda 40, Grayslake Central 14: The host Bulldogs earned their first win of the season by capturing the Northern Lake County Conference opener.

Grayslake Central fell to 0-3.

Lake Forest 13, Mundelein 0: The visiting Scouts won the North Suburban Conference opener to improve to 2-1, while dropping the Mustangs to 1-2.

Lake Forest got an 85-yard touchdown run from Jahari Scott and a 36-yard field goal from Kai Kroeger.

Carmel 56, DePaul College Prep 7: The host Corsairs captured the nonconference game for their first win of the season.
