Lords Park memories

You can call them crayfish or crawdads, but when I was growing up, some 65, 75 years ago, I called them crabs. I pulled hundreds of them out of the Lord's Park creek. Maybe it was thousands. At that time, there was a bear pit in Lord's Park. Those bears loved crabs. The sound of those bears devouring crabs is with me still.
