Olympic swimmer to host clinic
Olympic swimmer Caeleb Dressel will run three swim clinic sessions and speak to athletes and parents Sunday, Sept. 15, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Mundelein High School, 1350 W. Hawley St., Mundelein. It is hosted by Mundelein High's swim team feeder program and the Mundelein Mustang Swim Club. Dressel won eight medals, including six gold and two silver, at the 2019 World Championship. He also surpassed Michael Phelps and set a new world record in the 100m butterfly. The sessions are: 7:30 to 9:45 a.m., ages 12 and under; 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., ages 13 and up; and 12:45 to 3 p.m., all ages. Each session will include photos with Dressel, and instructional swim session and autographs. From 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., Dressel will provide a motivational talk and stories about his training, preparation, nutrition and progression to an Olympian. It will conclude with questions and answers.
