Boys golf: Lucchesi's 39 leads Grayslake Central past Grayslake North

Gianni Lucchesi earned medalist honors with a 39, as Grayslake Central's boys golf team defeated host Grayslake North, 165-184, in a Northern Lake County Conference match at Renwood Golf Club Tuesday.

The Rams also counted Kollin Wardin's 40 and matching 43s from Keegan Fitzgerald and Cam Mussay.

The Knights were led by Christian Swenson's 44 and Erubiel Avila's 45.

Vernon Hills 158, Maine East 215: At Rob Roy Golf Course, Rohan Vasudeva fired a 3-under-par 33 to lead the visiting Cougars in Central Suburban League action.

Gavin Gilfand added a 41 for Vernon Hills, which also received 42s from both Jordan Krasner and Dylan Josephson.
