Delays expected from road work in Mundelein

Road work that will result in daily lane and shoulder closures is scheduled to begin this week in Mundelein.

The work includes a 3.56-mile resurfacing project on Route 176 from Hilltop Terrance to Del Webb Boulevard and on Route 60/83 from Route 176 to the Canadian National railroad crossing. It also involves milling and patching, as well as pedestrian ramp upgrades. It is expected to be complete by the end of November.

Also in Mundelein, curb and sidewalk ramp improvements are planned this fall on Lake Street (Route 45), from Lake Woodlawn Drive to Route 83. Milling, patching and resurfacing is planned for spring.
