Property tax assessment help centers in Lake County
Centers to help Lake County taxpayers evaluate their property assessment notices will be available in coming weeks. Property owners can talk one-on-one with taxpayer advocates to understand the information on their assessment, see how to use the county's new web applications and learn about homestead exemptions which can potentially provide tax relief. Help centers will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays Sept. 25, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 at University Center of Lake County, Room 211, 1200 University Center Drive, Grayslake. Property owners also can visit the Chief County Assessment Office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays for assistance.
