Food issues are root of health-care problems
The federal Office of business Management forecasts that the U.S. will add $1 trillion dollars to the annual deficit in the coming fiscal year. Congressman Brad Schneider defends ACA, but his solution is more spending by the government.
OBM has also stated that our excessive current bloated health care system is one of the main causes of our federal deficit.
Yes. we need a public discussion about the root cause of our unhealthy medical system that is one of the drivers of our national debt. What is not being discussed is that we have a unhealthy food system, delivering too little nutrition and too many chemicals to the average American that is the root cause of over 50% of the population being diagnosed with a disease state. That is the issue that needs to addressed.
Unfortunately, the food lobby likes how food is grown and processed for profit and ignores the toxins, including glyphosates (Roundup and many more), that are laced into the food. The medical system is the monetary beneficiary of our unhealthy food choices and the resulting ill health and says nothing when our leadership in medicine should be speaking out for positive change.
In the meantime, our congressmen on both sides of the aisle are benefiting from political money from the chemical, food and medical corporations that benefit from the status quo.
