Invalid pot objections
The legalization of marijuana has led to extensive discussions and multiple articles about its safety, the risk of addiction, how to regulate sales and the dangers of driving while under the influence, with every one of those issues used by critics to argue against marijuana. Yet not one of those people has objected to alcohol sales and consumption, despite the fact that alcohol is a known toxin to the brain, heart and liver, is highly addictive, is illegally sold to and consumed by minors, and results in over 10,000 deaths in car accidents in the U.S.
When those people who oppose marijuana also work to ban all alcohol sales and consumption then their views will have validity. Until then, they should realize their objections are unscientific and irrational.
