Geneva police looking for answers in Aug. 22 hit-and-run

Geneva police are looking for information about an Aug. 22 hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian on State Street.

A 73-year-old Aurora man was struck by a westbound silver or gray Cadillac Escalade SUV, model year 2007 to 2014, at 8:50 p.m. while crossing on the 400 block of West State Street.

The SUV was last seen turning north on Fifth Street and then east onto Hamilton Street approaching First Street.

The victim initially was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, then was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. The man has since been released from Good Samaritan Hospital but is still receiving at an acute care facility.
