Dan Hampton to greet fans at Arlington Heights Senior Center open house

Dan Hampton will meet and greet fans during an Arlington Heights Senior Center open house Sunday, Sept. 15, village officials announced this week.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle, who played 12 seasons for the Chicago Bears from 1979 to 1990, will discuss his career and what he does now to stay fulfilled in his "second half" of life at 12:30 p.m. He will sign autographs and take pictures from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The open house, from noon to 3 p.m., is intended for those age 50 and above who haven't yet visited the senior center as a way to learn about its programs and services. Representatives from all eight senior center agencies will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. There will be complimentary tailgate-style food. No tickets or reservations are required.

The center is located at 1801 W. Central Road.
