No injuries in Naperville house fire

No injuries were reported Thursday when a fire started in the basement of a house on the 2600 block of Garland Circle in Naperville and spread smoke through the first floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the house was deemed uninhabitable. No one was home at the time.

Firefighters said they received a 911 call at 12:13 p.m. and arrived five minutes later.

Crews entered the house and confined the fire to the basement.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by Naperville police and firefighters from Aurora and Plainfield.
