Crews respond to gas leak in Naperville

Roadwork caused a gas leak Thursday evening on Shuman Boulevard in Naperville, officials said.

The gas leak, reported shortly before 7 p.m., occurred about 75 feet from any buildings, and no injuries were reported, according to Naperville Fire Department Capt. Mike Ryan.

The eastbound lane was closed near 184 Shuman Blvd. while crews worked to repair the leak, Ryan said.
