Ulterior motive in buying Greenland
There has been a lot of conversation and joking regarding Trump's interest in buying Greenland. I'd like to suggest that there may be an ulterior motive.
As we know, Trump is anti science and rejects the idea of global warming or even climate change. He has removed climate scientists from the EPA and Agriculture department. It seems logical, then, for him to do whatever he can to support his position.
Greenland serves as the best location to measure the effects of global warming. If Trump buys it, then he can shut down further research and analysis. I think that is his real motive, and I support Denmark's refusal to consider his offer.
