Register for charity march in Lake Villa to help veterans
Registration is open for the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation's third annual ruck march on Saturday, Sept. 7. The 22-kilometer walk will start and end at Daisy's Artish Cafe, 216 N. Milwaukee Ave., Lake Villa. On-site registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. The march is designed to raise awareness of veteran suicides. Marchers will carry heavy packs symbolizing veterans' emotional burdens. The registration fee is $25. Register online at lakevetsfound.org/ruck-march/about-marching.
