Palatine Township Senior Center welcomes new executive director

The Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council has named Greg Weider as the new executive director of the Palatine Township Senior Center. He succeeds Carol Reagan, who retired in June after 20 years of service.

Weider brings more than 18 years of nonprofit executive director experience to his role at the council. He has been a passionate advocate for aging services as both a staff member and volunteer board leader of a variety of organizations focused on the aging population.

"It is a tremendous pleasure to join PTSCC and the team," Weider stated in a news release. "PTSCC is a wonderful organization with a rich history of providing innovative programs and services. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to continue that legacy of service into the future."

PTSCC Board Chair Donelda Danz said, "The board of directors is very pleased with the process to select Greg Weider as the new leader and visionary for the future of PTSCC. We look forward to working with him and have confidence he'll carry the center into the future."

The Palatine Senior Citizens Council is the 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that operates the Palatine Township Senior Center, and provides innovative, high quality, cost-effective services to adults 50 and older in Chicago's Northwest suburbs.

PTSCC is one of only three senior centers in Illinois to be accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers.

The Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council is a private, nonprofit organization providing a full spectrum of nutrition, education, health, recreation and social support services for older adults.
