Fall session of Gurnee Citizen Police Academy starts Aug. 29
The fall session of Gurnee's Citizen Police Academy, a free 12-week course, begins Aug. 29. The course, which consists of a 33-hour block of instruction, is designed to give the public a working knowledge of the practices, policies, and procedures governing police. To participate, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and of good moral character with no felony convictions, according to a Gurnee village newsletter.
