Bartlett police join Ring Neighbors app

Bartlett police have joined the Ring Neighbors app to provide timely crime notifications directly to residents' smartphone devices to help make the community safer.

The app also allows Bartlett police to see posts that residents voluntarily share.

This new crime reduction strategy has been instrumental in catching package thieves, deterring criminal activity and keeping neighborhoods safe in other communities, according to police.

It will not give Bartlett police access to residents' Ring doorbell or security camera devices. Residents are in complete control of their devices and can decide whether they want to share any video footage or other information with police.

Residents can text 'bartlettil' to 555888 to download the free Ring Neighbors app on their iOS or Android smartphone devices. The app is available to download and use even if residents do not own a Ring doorbell or security camera device.
