Roll out the red carpet for BG Singers' musical movie favorites

The Buffalo Grove Park District's BG Singers will perform its 27th annual choral concert as they present "Now Showing: Music from the Movies" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13; and 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, and Sunday, Sept 15, at the Buffalo Grove Park District Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove.

Directed by Linda Rosen, choreographed by Charla Silver, and featuring accompaniment by Dan Ermel, this show will include such favorites as "Hooray For Hollywood," "That's Entertainment," "Evergreen," "Charade," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," as well as contemporary selections from "The Greatest Showman," "La La Land," and the animated film "Sing."

"I love directing the music for all of our shows, but, this is one that I really wish I could sing in, because the music is incredibly infectious; just so much fun," said Linda Rosen.

"This show includes a wonderful variety of music, from movie classics to songs from great, present-day composers - appealing to all ages, down to the youngest child. Truly, we have put together a show that has something for everyone to enjoy."
