Mass shootings and decline of morality

The latest tragic mass shootings of innocent people in Texas and Ohio are a predictable result of the decline of morality in America. Of course this will be controversial; but the problem is not guns, it is that accelerating decline of morality in our culture. What happened to us?

The answer is actually quite simple and Plato explained it 2,600 years ago when he said, "To have a good society, children must be exposed to good material and shielded from bad material." Today, we are bombarding our children with immoral material as the core family declines.

In 1960, only 8% of our kids were raised without their fathers and they were taught moral family values. Today 41% of our kids are raised without their father and 70% of them are doomed to a life of poverty and/or crime per statistics.

Before social media and the decline of the family and religion, most American children went to church every week with their family and were taught good behavior and morality at home, at church, at school and while watching healthy movies and TV or while playing sports. As a result, good behavior was the norm. Today, our kids are bombarded by violent immoral material every day on social media, the internet, in movies and music and through violent computer games. What's the solution? Bring back the family and morality and follow Plato's wise advice.
