Lincolnshire to honor community heroes

Lincolnshire will host the inaugural Heroes Night on Aug. 23 at North Park, 1025 Riverwoods Road. The all-ages event will honor police officers, military personnel, village employees, teachers and other professionals who positively affect the community. The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature games, face painting, pony rides and more. Attendees are encouraged to bike to the event because parking will be limited. A secure bicycle storage area will be available, and every bicycle rider will receive one coupon for a free hot dog, while supplies last.
