Learn about 'Moving Beyond Opioids' Aug. 24

Dr. Azlan Tariq of Optimal Health Medical Fitness, along with Jana Stedman, will host a lecture, "Moving Beyond Opioids: The Future of Pain Management." The free lecture will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, in Wentz Science Center Room 101 at North Central College, 131 S. Loomis St., Naperville.

Dr. Tariq is a board certified orthopedic medicine specialist and is passionate about spreading awareness of opioid use and alternatives for opioids. Topics discussed will be opioid pharmacology, awareness, addiction and alternatives. Dr. Tariq will be hosting a Q&A session after the lecture.

Dr. Tariq also puts on many other lectures throughout the year covering many other alternative medicine/orthopedic topics.
