Buffalo Grove's National Night Another Great Success!

The Buffalo Grove Police Department, along with the Buffalo Grove Park District, would like to extend their gratitude to all those who attended National Night Out on Aug. 6, at Willow Stream Park.

National Night Out began in 1985 as an initiative to bring together the community, law enforcement and other village departments, and has grown exponentially.

Hosted by the Buffalo Grove Park District, those in attendance had an opportunity to visit with public safety entities, including members of the Buffalo Grove police and fire departments, in addition to those from the public works department. This event provides an opportunity for these agencies to answer questions, share safety information and highlight programs available to the public.

The Friends of the Parks Foundation presented awards for the 'Best Friends' of the Park District, of which Buffalo Grove Police Lieutenant Michael Rodriguez was an individual recipient for his hard work pertaining to the "Uniquely Us" diversity festival, which immediately followed the inaugural Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
