President works to bring us all together

The July 17 "Our View" section of the Opinion Page was entitled "The president of polarization owes us better." I must take issue with the author of that Daily Herald opinion. I am offended that you would call our president the "president of polarization."

Have you had a total memory loss of how Obama created division between blacks and whites, e.g., the Ferguson horror, also his dumb comment about whites having to go to the back of the bus; and division between rich and poor, young and old, men and women and lawbreakers and law enforcers?

Trump has done a great deal to bring us together, the economy and employment statistics alone, and that's for all people, not select races. I have yet to hear a racist word out of his mouth. It is only a word that the leftists throw around at anyone who disagrees with them. It means nothing any longer because they have trivialized its meaning.

Trump is a true man of the people. He cares about us all and is working nonstop for us all, and is given so little credit.

When he made the statement to the "Squad" about going back where they came from, I agreed with him. Anyone filled with such hatred for this great (if flawed) country, for Israel and for our president should find another home where they can live in peace and harmony.

The point is we are all Americans and should act in a way to show pride in our heritage and our country (even if flawed). The U.S. has done more to help people around the world than any other country on the planet.

Yes, this is who we want to be ... America loving, America supporting, President Donald Trump supporting, proud patriots.
