Crespo to be honored at nonprofit's fundraiser Oct. 4

Leyden Family Service and the SHARE Program will host their 17th annual fundraiser gala, "Handing Out Hope," at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Marriott Chicago Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

Democratic state Rep. Fred Crespo of Hoffman Estates will be honored at the event as "Legislator of the Year" to acknowledge his work on behalf of mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Funds raised at the event support programs offered by the agency, which has been serving the community for more than 50 years.

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, the agency has been providing crisis services, mental health and substance abuse treatment to a wide range of ages, from children to seniors.
