Lake Co. Health Dept. to host World Breastfeeding Week event
The Lake County Health Department is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 3, in celebration of World Breastfeeding Week.
Families can play games and win prizes, learn about breastfeeding, enjoy light refreshments, and participate in scheduled activities including an exercise class and a healthy cooking demonstration.
Mark Pfister, Health Department Executive Director, said officials want Lake County moms to know that breastfeeding is a natural and healthy choice for them and their babies. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon outside the Belvidere Medical Building at 2400 Belvidere Road in Waukegan.
