7th Heaven to perform as part of Gurnee's free concert series

Energetic rock band 7th Heaven will play a free show at Viking Park in Gurnee on Thursday, Aug. 1, as part of the village's Sounds of Summer concert series.

The band will play from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Viking Park Band Shell at 4374 Old Grand Avenue. Revelers are invited to bring blankets, chairs, snacks, drinks and dogs, so long as they are on a leash. The Rotary Club will also be on-site selling concessions.

7th Heaven performs originals and covers and is known for its 30 songs in 30 minutes medley of '70s and '80s tunes. According to the band's website, the band plays around 200 shows every year.
