Kuhagen joins Ice Miller's immigration practice
Ice Miller LLP announced attorney Scott Kuhagen has joined to its Immigration Practice.
Kuhagen focuses his practice on employment-based immigration matters, including obtaining approval of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions.
Before joining Ice Miller, he practiced at an employment-based immigration law firm in Chicago, where he reviewed and filed nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions for corporate clients. In addition, he advised clients on immigration strategies for talent acquisition and retention and on the composition of employers' immigration programs and immigration compliance, along with responding to requests for evidence.
Kuhagen earned his juris doctor in 2012 from Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where he served as articles editor for the Temple Political & Civil Rights Law Review. During law school, he completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Philadelphia Immigration Court. Additionally, he completed an internship with the Nationalities Service Center, in which he assisted individuals with presenting asylum claims.
He graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. Before attending law school, Kuhagen worked at a national faith-based refugee resettlement agency and a consulting firm for nonprofits.
